About Axellent Pet Care
"My name is Justine Lenza and I have been a veterinary technician since 2012. I grew up surrounded by animals, as my mother was a technician herself! So I chose a career that would allow me to follow my passion of animal care.

I began my career at Hoffman Animal Hospital in Annapolis and worked my way up from kennel tech to surgery tech (my favorite). After Hoffman Animal Hospital, I transitioned to overnight emergency care at the Mid-Atlantic Speciality Hospital (MASH) and then onto veterinary ophthalmology at Eye Care for Animals. I enjoyed each different atmosphere and cases that came along with each specified hospital. I truly enjoyed the relationships I was able to build with the pets under our care and the wonderful owners that would do anything it took to ensure the best life for their beloved fur babies.

In 2016 I had my son, Levi. I wanted to be able to maximize my time with Levi and be there for him every step of the way. Unfortunately, the veterinary field although wonderful, is not conducive to that life style as we are always on our toes with an undefined schedule of long and unpredictable hours, so I knew I had to make a change.
I was offered a part time position as barn & office manager for our local Equine Vet; Dr. Linda Molesworth of Bay Equine Service here in Huntingtown, and she allowed me to bring Levi to work with me!

During this time I also began working under Rover.com to help families that needed their pets cared for while they were away. I became frustrated with my inability to communicate with owners directly for scheduling purposes or emergencies. Through the relationships I formed with my clients, I began to grow a clientele base outside of Rover.com.

On January 1, 2019, I took the plunge and turned my passion of caring for all animals into my personal business. I am dedicated to taking care of your pet's needs so that you may relax on vacation or focus on emergent personal matters. My job is to spoil your fur babies so that you may take comfort in knowing they are receiving the excellent care they deserve!"
